Hospitality / Lighting

’t Waaltje.
Lansingerland.

Bergschenhoek, the Netherlands

An evening begins before the first drink. At ’t Waaltje, light gives the arrival its own character.

A vivid façade welcomes guests to a world of timber, greenery, colour and detail. Across this bar, restaurant and bowling setting, LEDw@re contributed exterior lighting, MD3 Mini Track, selected interior LED strips and the supply of AR111 lamps.

01 / The architecture

A façade
with presence.

Magenta light brings out the vertical rhythm of the building and the texture of its metal screen. Along the roof edge, a fine line of light draws the architecture into the evening.

The contribution

Light at
different scales.

LEDw@re’s contribution brings together architectural lighting and smaller elements within the venue’s wider lighting scheme.

02 / The details

Small accents.
Strong character.

Rows of colourful bowling balls become part of the interior. Small spotlights above the display sit alongside linear lighting and rich materials. The scene shows how light can draw attention to individual objects while remaining part of the room.

03 / The interior

Atmosphere,
layer by layer.

Wood, greenery and decorative features give the restaurant its character. Light brings these different surfaces into view, from the ceiling to the spaces where guests gather.

AR111 lamps were supplied by LEDw@re for the project. Together with the selected interior LED strips, they form part of the contribution to this richly detailed hospitality setting.
